Has-been comedian Rosie O’Donnell has had an unhinged vendetta against President Donald Trump for over a decade. Since he took office, Rosie has come increasingly unglued and has been launching increasingly violent rants against Trump and his allies on Twitter. Now, this has come back to bite her in a huge way.

Independent Journal Review reported that Rosie threatened Ryan on Twitter on Christmas Day after he “triggered” her by talking about Jesus Christ in a Christmas message.

“You know, at the end of every year, no matter how short or how long it may feel, there is always Christmas,” Ryan said. “Waiting for us is that sense of wonder that the shepherds felt when the angels appeared in the night sky to herald the birth of a savior. After hearing this news, the shepherds knew that they had to go see for themselves what this was all about. ‘Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that happened,’ they said. That is the true spirit of Christmas. That is what we reflect upon here.”

Rosie responded with a truly unhinged attack on Ryan.

“Paul ryan – don’t talk about Jesus after what u just did to our nation – u will go straight to hell u screwed up fake altar boy,” she wrote.

This comes a week after Rosie broke federal law by offering Republican lawmakers $2 million in bribes to shut down President Trump’s tax reform bill. The Daily Caller reported that it all started hours before the legislation passed, when Rosie tweeted:

When Rosie was informed that this would be breaking the law, as bribing lawmakers is a felony, she doubled down on her comments.

With these tweets, Rosie blatantly violated 18 U.S. Code § 201, which criminalizes the attempted bribery of federal officials by whoever “directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises anything of value to any public official … with intent to influence any official act.” The penalty for violating this law is severe, as Rosie could spend up to 15 years in jail, suffer a lifetime ban from elective office and pay up to a cool $12 million.

The statute demands a fine “not more than three times the monetary equivalent of the thing of value, whichever is greater, or imprisoned for not more than fifteen years, or both, and may be disqualified from holding any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.”
