A liberal icon until the PC hordes of today decided he too was a racist and white elitist, President Lyndon B. Johnson once said of the media: “If one morning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the headline that afternoon would read: ‘President Can’t Swim.’”
That aptly describes what awaits every action the President and his administration officials have to contend with on a day-to-day basis.
Recently, a liberal nerd reporter tried to snooker Secretary of Defense James Mattis into admitting he had no heart when it came to civilian casualties caused by the military actions of our allies. When, the Washington Post reported, the journo tried to pin the blame for 58 deaths in Yemen on Mattis, the SecDef went full ‘Mad Dog’, saying:
“I’m never okay with any civilian casualty. Don’t screw with me on this!”
On January 2, it was our country’s ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley’s, turn to be criticized by a ‘media’ that gladly killed objectivity when Trump came to office.
At the close of last year, Haley valiantly stood alone against the World in vetoing a UN Resolution condemning President Trump for deciding to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Israel.
So, on Tuesday, during a press conference where the topic of the unrest in Iran came up, a Muslim reporter from the Arabic Daily, bristling with self-righteous indignation, asked Haley:
“You are so strong when it comes to the freedom of the dignity of the Iranian people, but you have a different meaning of freedom and dignity when it comes to the Palestinian people, who have been brutalized for over 50 years of occupation.”

The Independent Journal Review (IJR) reports that the journo went on to sneeringly ask, “What made you believe that you are on the right side of history?”
The Daily Caller provides her extended answer:
“I stood proudly, even if I was the only hand in the Security Council to fight for the will of the people of the United States. They wanted to see the embassy moved to Jerusalem and we followrd through with that.”
Haley then delivered the coup de grâce:
“We very much still want to have a peace process, nothing changes with that. The Palestinians now have to show they want to come to the table. As of now they are not coming to the table but they asked for aid. We are going to make sure they are coming to the table and we want to move forward with the peace process.”
During the American Civil War, Union General William Tecumseh Sherman purportedly grumbled: “If I had my choice I would kill every reporter in the world, but I am sure we would be getting reports from Hell before breakfast.”
Such an action would do nothing to alleviate us of the press corps’ pesky presence, for that Hell Sherman talked about now shares a Washington, D.C. and NYC zip code.
