Republicans cut tax break for NFL

Last month, midst all the drama over the NFL anthem protests, President Trump called out the league where it would hurt most: the wallet.

“Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country?” Trump posted on Twitter. “Change tax law!”

Now, the NFL might not be happy after the Trump administration announced they would lose its ability to claim tax breaks from stadiums, while Colleges and Universities would have to start paying taxes on massive endowments. Under Republicans’ proposed tax bill, they could no longer shield their income from the taxman.

They never saw this coming!

House Republicans’ new bill will also free churches from rules that prevent them from taking a stand in political elections and halting illegal immigrant’s ability to claim tax credits.

With this bill, America will save TENS OF BILLIONS of dollars a year.

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives have taken Trump at his word, and the newly proposed tax reform bill is a nightmare for the disrespectful NFL.

While all teams across all of pro sports have taken advantage of the break, the NFL’s use has come under fire this year as they struggled to deal with players protesting during the national anthem.

“Unlike the NFL, middle-class taxpayers have earned the right to take a knee when it comes to subsidizing professional athletic stadiums,” said one longtime congressional tax analyst. “At a time when sports leagues are earning … billions of dollars in revenue every year, Congress should level the playing field for taxpayers and eliminate the subsidy.”

Well, we can all agree that the NFL definitely deserved this.
